The Restoration and Preservation of Historic Monuments in Bosnia-Herzegovina

Tina Wik is Bosnia Project Manager for the Swedish organization Cultural Heritage without Borders which has been carrying out restoration of historic buildings damaged during the war, among them the Zemaljski Muzej. She is a distinguished architect who is Professor of Wooden Architecture at the Royal Technical University, Stockholm. In December 2001 Professor Wik was appointed a member of the newly-reconstituted Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments established under Annex 8 of the Dayton Agreement. Professor Wik spoke about her work and the problems facing the restoration and preservation of historic monuments in Bosnia.
