Dr Kent teaches international relations at the University of Sussex. He reported freelance for national newspapers, including The Guardian and The European, before and during the war. His doctoral thesis on the mediation of the crisis is due to be published this spring by the Hampton Press Series in Communication. He has been a long-standing Friend of The Bosnian Institute, and before that a member of the Alliance to Defend Bosnia-Herzegovina.
