Bosnian Institute on the best-seller lists The Bosnian Institute’s latest book Rat u Hrvatskoj i Bosni i Hercegovini 1991-1995 is currently number 4 on the Croatian best-seller lists. Launches of the book, published in association with Dani and Jesenski i Turk, were held recently in Sarajevo and Zagreb. Bosnian Institute Director, Quintin Hoare, the book’s editors, Branka Magas and Ivo Zanic, and a number of the contributors were in attendance. In Zagreb, Rusmir Mahmutcehajic, the Bosnian Minister of Defence at the beginning of the war, and Generals Jovan Divjak (Bosnia), Martin Spegelj (Croatia) and Anton Tus (Croatia) spoke to the meeting, which was chaired by Ivo Zanic. The newly-elected President of Croatia, Stipe Mesic, himself a contributor to the book, sent a message of support to the launch. The Sarajevo launch was chaired by the new editor of Dani, Vildana Selimbegovic. General Martin Spegelj, Rusmir Mahmutcehajic, General Rasim Delic (Chief of Staff of the Army of the Federation), Branka Magas and Ivo Komsic, a member of the Bosnian Presidency during the war, spoke to the packed audience at the Kamerni Teatr. Among the audience were General Atif Dudakovic and General Sefer Halilovic. Both Generals Tus and Delic observed that while reading the book they discovered things they had never known before.
