- Regular Forums continue on the first Monday of every month (or the second, if the first falls on a Bank Holiday) from 7 pm to 9 pm at our usual venue, The Boardroom, University of Westminster, 309 Regent Street, W1 (in association with the Centre for the Study of Democracy).
The next meeting will take place on 7 November 2005, and will involve a panel discussion on ‘Dayton - ten years on’ (details to be announced in the usual way on the Bosnian Institute website, www.bosnia.org.uk, and in invitations sent by e-mail or post to friends of the Institute).
- On 5 September 2005 a panel discussion on ‘Renewal and remembrance in Bosanska Krajina’ was introduced by Ed Vulliamy, with Kemal Pervanić, Sebina Sivac and Isabelle Wesselingh; drawing a large and well informed audience with many refugees from the Prijedor region, this was given additional focus by the recent purchase of the Omarska mine complex by Mittal Steel.
- The forum on 3 October 2005, introduced by Mentor Agani and devoted to the issue of Kosova’s status in the context of regional democratization, saw one of the most serious and focused discussions to have been held at any recent forum.
- From 27 to 30 October 2005 Riverside Studios, Hammersmith will host a Festival of Bosnian Cinema - War and Peace - in association with The Bosnian Institute (see details on previous page).
