How the status of Kosovo impacts on stability in the Balkans

Dr Lyon is senior adviser to the International Crisis Group, based in Belgrade. As well as Serbia, he covers Bosnia-Herzegovina (for which he was formerly ICG’s regional director), Kosova, Macedonia and Montenegro. With a PhD in modern Balkan history from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MA in international relations from Brigham Young University, he studied and worked in various parts of the former Yugoslavia - including as a consultant in post-Dayton Bosnia from 1996 to 1999 - before joining the ICG in 1999.
